Michael comes from a long line of colonial wealth gained through plantations in Sri Lanka during the 1800s, as well as land owners within the North of England.

Michael studied economics and languages at Kings College London and Faculdade de Letras, Portugal. Michael started his career as a portfolio manager for UK HNWIs and landed gentry followed by eight years with Euromoney, where he was Director of Sales for Latin America, the Caribbean and Iberian Peninsula. Michael has also headed the Associate division for the global macro economic forecasting house in London, Lombard Street Research.

Michael is an independent, discrete and unbiased ´Homme D´Affaire´ for leading family offices and UHNWIs. Socially and commercially Michael has assisted and extended his contacts in the family office and private wealth market since the 1970s, as well as developing close relationships with international banks, governments and multinationals. He has extensive knowledge of business in Greece and Middle Eastern markets and speaks fluent Portuguese, Spanish and French.

Michael lives in Sussex with his wife and three children.
